On March, 17, Cambodian King Sihamoni visited Jiaxing in the company of Yuan Jiajun, Secretary of the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of Zhejiang Provincial People's Congress. King Sihamoni and Yuan called for joint efforts to promote Zhejiang-Cambodia exchanges and cooperation to a new level.

King Norodom Sihamoni and Yuan Jiajun visited the Nanhu Revolutionary Memorial Hall, the Red Boat where the first CPC National Congress reconvened after being interrupted by authorities in Shanghai's French concession area in 1921, and Wuzhen, an ancient town with watery scenery.
      Yuan Jiajun, on behalf of the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee, the provincial government and the people of the province, extended a warm welcome to King Sihamoni and his delegation. He said that 

     China and Cambodia are bounded with profound traditional friendship. Recent years have seen substantial progress in bilateral relations and cooperation. Long known as the launching pad of the Chinese communist revolution, Zhejiang has also been a pioneer in China's reform and opening-up and an important place where Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era began to take its initial shape. The province is currently implementing the spirit in President Xi's important speech during his recent visit to Zhejiang, earnestly carrying out the Double Eight Strategy to advance eight key industries with eight competitive advantages of the province. Efforts are made to build Zhejiang into an important window and a pioneering province in socialist modernization.  Yuan wished that this visit would promote closer bilateral exchanges in all fields and at all levels, particularly in the fields of economy, trade, culture, health and tourism. He expressed commitment to carrying out consensus reached by leaders of the two countries to carry Zhejiang-Cambodian exchanges and cooperation to a new high.

    Gongsang Ao, Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Royal Palace Minister, Wu Jianghao, Assistant Foreign Minister of China, and Chen Jinbiao and Zhu Congjiu, both leaders of Zhejiang Province, accompanied the visit.
