Zhejiang People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (ZJPAFFC), founded in 1956, is a provincial people's organization that aims to enhance friendship and understanding between the people of Zhejiang and the people around the world, to promote mutually beneficial exchanges and cooperation, to safeguard world peace, and to promote common development. In pursuit of "friendship, cooperation, peace and development", ZJPAFFC has persisted in enhancing people's friendship as its primary work, making friends all over the world and carrying out all-directional, wide-ranging and multi-channel people-to-people friendly exchanges and cooperation in such fields as politics, economy, culture, education, personnel training, science and technology, health care, sports, environmental protection, law, youth and children, etc. ZJPAFFC has established cooperative relations with more than 100 friendly organizations in over 30 countries and regions in the world and has become an important window for Zhejiang to engage in international non-governmental exchanges.
