Jinhua
Located in central Zhejiang, Jinhua borders Taizhou to the east, Lishui to the south, Quzhou to the west and Shaoxing and Hangzhou to the north. Jinhua is famous for ham and Hengdian World Studios. This area used to be part of the Yue State during the Spring and Autumn period (770-476 BC). Dongyangshire was founded later in the Three Kingdoms Period (220-280 AD) when the area firstly appeared in the history as a county. In 1360, it got its current name as Jinhua. Geographically, Jinhua is surrounded by mountains in three directions. As a famous national historical and cultural city, Jinhua was once an important sector of the Confucianism in the history. Its 400-year-old Wu Opera is the second most important local operas in Zhejiang. Yiwu, a county-level city in Jinhua, is home to China Commodities City, the largest of its kind in China with strong international presence.
