Zhuge Eight Diagrams Village, which has a history of more than 660 years, is home to descendants of Zhuge Liang, celebrated adviser to Liu Bei, founder of the Shu-Han dynasty in the period of the Three Kingdoms (220-280 AD). The village was designed and constructed by Zhuge Dashi, the 27th descendant of Zhuge Liang, following the design of the eight diagrams which represent the ancient Chinese's earliest knowledge of the universe.
