The Shengsi county scenic area, a 4A scenic county, includes Caiyuan town and 10-Mile Golden Beach town, with four residential communities and three fishing villages. It has become a popular tourist destination for its beaches, seafood and sea views. In 2020, Shengsi county scenic area received more than 4.61 million visitors and generated 3.34 billion yuan ($514.92 million) in tourism revenue. Huaniao Island in Shengsi was recently upgraded to a national 4A scenic spot.
