Polish Ambassador to China and Ambassador of Cote d'Ivoire to China visit Zhejiang Provincial Department of Foreign Affairs
On Sept. 14th, Jin Yonghui, Director General of Zhejiang Provincial Department of Foreign Affairs met with H.E. Wojciech Zajaczkowski, Polish Ambassador to China. Gu Jianxin, Deputy Director General of the Provincial Department of Foreign Affairs and members of the Division of European Affairs attended the meeting.
Polish Ambassador to China Wojciech Zajaczkowski visits Zhejiang Provincial Department of Foreign Affairs
Jin Yonghui welcomed Ambassador Wojciech Zajaczkowski and his delegation and briefly introduced the economic and social development of Zhejiang Province. He said that in recent years, Zhejiang has actively seized the opportunities of cooperation with Central and Eastern European countries and formed a number of distinctive cooperation platforms with fruitful results. As the largest economy in Central and Eastern European with the largest population, Poland is the initiator of China-CEEC cooperation. The two sides enjoy broad prospects for strengthening economic, trade and cultural cooperation. Zhejiang Provincial Department of Foreign Affairs is willing to work closely with Polish embassy and consulates in China and make good use of such platforms as China-CEEC Expo and China-CEEC Economic and Trade Cooperation Demonstration Zone to promote cooperation between Zhejiang and Poland in trade and investment, ports and logistics, digital economy and local friendship. Ambassador Wojciech Zajaczkowski thanked Zhejiang Province for its great efforts in promoting local cooperation with CEE countries. He introduced Poland’s geographical advantages and economic and social development. He expressed his willingness to promote friendly exchanges between Poland and Zhejiang Province and support the construction of China-CEEC Economic and Trade Cooperation Demonstration Zone. He hoped for deeper and higher-level cooperation between Poland and Zhejiang.

On the morning of Sept. 16th, Ambassador of Cote d'Ivoire to China Dosso Adama paid a visit to Zhejiang Provincial Department of Foreign Affairs. Jin Yonghui, Director General of Zhejiang Provincial Department of Foreign Affairs met with the delegation. Chen Jiangfeng, Deputy Director General of Zhejiang Provincial Department of Foreign Affairs and members of the Division of Asian and African Affairs attended the meeting. Jin Yonghui welcomed H.E. Dosso Adama and briefed about Zhejiang’s economic and social development. He said that in recent years, Zhejiang has had close contacts with African countries, including Cote d'Ivoire, and witnessed flourishing exchanges and cooperation in economy, trade and culture. The Department has maintained good cooperative relationship with embassies and consulates of African countries in China. He hoped Ambassdor Dosso Adama would continue to support exchanges and cooperation between the two sides. Zhejiang is willing to give full play to its advantages in resources and take Zhejiang-Africa Cooperation Action as a mechanism and a platform to promote pragmatic exchanges and cooperation with Cote d'Ivoire in epidemic prevention and control, modern agriculture, digital economy, textiles and clothing, education and training, culture and tourism. Ambassador Dosso Adama expressed his gratitude for the warm reception by the Department. He gave a brief introduction to Cote d'Ivoire’s social and economic development and put forward suggestions for exchanges and cooperation in the future, including synergizing Cote d'Ivoire’s agricultural resources such as cocoa and cashew nuts, and Zhejiang’s capital, technology and human resources, and enhancing pragmatic cooperation in digital economy, textile and clothing, etc. He said that he would follow Zhejiang’s development as always and hoped that the friendship between China and Cote d'Ivoire would continue to develop and cooperation between Zhejiang and Cote d'Ivoire would reach a higher level.
