The freshly-baked crisp cakes, dried vegetables and diced fat meat are wrapped into the crisp surface together. The delicious smell of dried vegetables and the rich taste of fat meat penetrate into each other, and a bite will leave greatest fragrance on your lips and teeth.

Jinhua Crispy Cake has a long history, which was first made by Cheng Yaojin known as the "Devil Walking the World". Cheng Yaojin, one of the twenty-four founders of the Tang Dynasty, once made a living on selling baked cakes in Jinhua. One day, he made so many baked cakes that he failed to sell them all in the day. So he kept the cake for sale the next day. In order to prevent the baked cakes from decay, he put them on the hearth, thinking they would not go bad because of the first was always on. The next day, Cheng Yaojin got up and saw that the meat oil in the cake had been baked out, and the crust was even more oily and crispy. As soon as the cake came into the market, it immediately attracted many people. Later, Cheng Yaojin improved baking to make the cake round like a tea cup and shaped like a crab shell, which had sesames on the surface, and looked golden on both sides. With the smell of dried vegetables and meat, it had a special flavor. Later, Cheng Yaojin participated in the peasant uprising at the end of Sui Dynasty, became one of the Wagang stronghold heads and got known as "the Devil Walking in the World". Then he became one of the co-founders of the Tang Dynasty. After he became famous, he still could not forget his early years of selling baked cakes. So he strongly recommended the snack. "Jinhua Crisp Cake" has become a famous traditional specialty with the fame of its founder.
