On May 23, 26 foreign expats from 22 countries, who are currently living or working in Zhejiang, were invited to a program to visit Zhejiang Provincial People’s Congress, the Province’s Legislature, to learn about the system of People’s Congress，as well as rule of law and whole-process people’s democracy in Zhejiang.

The group visited Archives Exhibition Hall of 1954 Constitution of PRC, Zhejiang Provincial Great Hall of People which is the venue of the annual session of Zhejiang Provincial People’s Congress, the Standing Committee of Zhejiang Provincial People’s Congress, as well as deputy-citizen liaison station and local legislative outreach office in Wangma Community.

They exchange ideas on topics such as the process of the people's democracy, responsiblities of the Provincial Congress deputies and the work of the Standing Committee.

The program was organized by the Standing Committee of Zhejiang Provincial People’s Congress, and jointly supported by Zhejiang Provincial People’s Associaiton with Foreign Countires and the Municipal Congress of Hangzhou, Ningbo, Shaoxing and Jinhua.

The program was also one of Province’s “Moment in Zhejiang” events, which is designed to better serve foreign expats community in Zhejiang, and to build a bridge of understanding and cooperation between Zhejiang and the home countries of the foreign expats.
