U.S. Students Visits Zhejiang

    From June 2 to 7, a delegation of students from U.S. top universities visited Zhejiang. This delegation was invited by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and organized by the China-United States Exchange Foundation.


    Delegation members are student union leaders of prestigious U.S. universities, such as Harvard University, University of Pennsylvania, University of Chicago, Carnegie Mellon University, and University of California, Berkeley. They started the tour at the beginning of June and have been to cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Fuzhou, and Xiamen. Zhejiang is their last stop.


    In Zhejiang, the delegation visited Xihu University, Zhejiang University, the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine, Zhejiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Yowant X27 Park, etc., where they felt the profoundness of local education and culture and the vibrancy of technological innovation of the province.


    Xing Huidong, Executive Vice President of Zhejiang Provincial People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, met with the delegation. He said, the youth forms the foundation and carries the hope, future, and vitality of the China-U.S. relationship. Through this visit, students from the U.S. have a better understanding of China as they see and experience themselves what is happening in this country. It is hoped that young people will continue to communicate and interact with each other and become good friends, to enhance the friendship between the two peoples and take the relationship between the two countries into a brighter prospect.
