Liu Jie Meets with Business Leaders from the Midwestern United States
On the morning of the 25th, Governor Liu Jie met with a delegation of political and business leaders from the Midwestern United States in Hangzhou.
Governor Liu Jie briefed the delegation guests on Zhejiang’s economic and social development, as well as its advances in science, technology, and innovation. He stated that Zhejiang is an important birthplace of the Xi JInping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, boasting profound historical and cultural heritage, a high level of openness, and an excellent business environment.
In recent years, focused on building an Innovative Zhejiang, the province has developed new quality productive forces tailored to local conditions, excelled in two major tasks: the integrated reform of education, technology, and talent, and the deep integration of technological innovation with industrial innovation. This has driven the continuous improvement of advanced manufacturing industrial clusters, fostered a strong momentum in artificial intelligence development, and nurtured an increasingly vibrant atmosphere for innovation and entrepreneurship.
Governor Liu Jie expressed the hope that this visit would serve as an opportunity to further carry forward the friendly traditions with American political and business circles, and to deepen exchanges and cooperation in areas such as technological innovation, trade and investment, and education and culture.
The delegation members highly commended Zhejiang’s achievements in economic and social development, particularly in the field of technological innovation. They expressed a willingness to continuously strengthen exchanges with Zhejiang in areas such as economy, trade, and culture, and to promote mutual benefit and win-win outcomes across various fields.
