From November 23 to 25, a delegation of 27 EU ambassadors to China visited Zhejiang,to gain an in-depth understanding of the concrete practices of Chinese modernization in the province. The delegation consisted of 14 ambassadors and three deputy heads of mission from 17 EU member states, including Denmark.

During their stay in Zhejiang, the delegation visited Hangzhou and Huzhou. At Zhejiang University, they held discussions with faculty and student representatives to learn about the university’s efforts in fostering innovation chains, attracting and nurturing innovationtalents, gathering innovation resources, and facilitating the smooth circulation of sci-tech innovation, all of which promote the deep integration of sci-tech innovation with industrial innovation. They also visited the Innovation Practice Base of Robotics and Intelligent Equipment at Zhejiang University. At Alibaba, the delegation engaged in exchanges with senior executives on topics such as intellectual property protection, cross-border e-commerce, AI applications, and cloud computing infrastructure. In Deqing, Huzhou, the delegation visited Moganshan Naked Castle, Ecological Park, and Motan Music Valley, focusing onHuzhou’sinnovative measures to advance the vision that lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets and to promote common prosperity, thereby deepening their firsthand understanding of Chinese modernization.
