Wang Hao Meets with Chairperson of the Senate of Kazakhstan

  • On the afternoon of January 14, Wang Hao, Secretary of the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee met with Maulen Ashimbayev, Chairperson of the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan, and his delegation in Hangzhou.

    Wang Hao extended a warm welcome to Chairperson Maulen Ashimbayev and his delegation and provided a brief overview of Zhejiang's economic and social development. Wang Hao stated that China and Kazakhstan are good neighbors, friends, and partners connected by mountains and rivers. The ancient Silk Road, spanning thousands of years, is a testament to the friendly exchanges between the two countries. In recent years, under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and President Tokayev, the friendship between China and Kazakhstan has grown from strength to strength. Zhejiang is ready to work with Kazakhstan to carry forward traditional friendship and deepen all-round exchanges and cooperation, jointly put into action the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, implement the BRI and the outcomes of the China-Central Asia Summit held in Xi'an. Zhejiang province is committed to further strengthening economic and trade exchanges, enhancing industrial alignment, advancing practical cooperation in areas such as intelligent manufacturing, agriculture, green energy, e-commerce, and artificial intelligence, and continuously promoting cultural and people-to-people exchanges so as to make more positive contributions to forging a new “Golden Thirty Years” in China-Kazakhstan relations.

    Chairperson Maulen Ashimbayev expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and hailed the achievements in Zhejiang's economic and social development. He said that Kazakhstan attaches great importance to its relations with China and also values its exchanges and cooperation with Zhejiang Province. We are willing to work with Zhejiang Province to jointly implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, deepen practical cooperation in areas such as economy and trade, new energy, digital technology, artificial intelligence, transportation and logistics, modern agriculture, cultural tourism, and sub-national exchanges so as to achieve new developments in Kazakhstan-China relations.
