On March 20, Ye Zhengbo, Chairman of the Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), met with a delegation of European Security Think Tank scholars in Hangzhou. Ye Zhengbo first welcomed the guests and made a brief introduction of Zhejiang’s economic and social development. He noted that recent years have witnessed increasing friendly exchanges and pragmatic cooperation between Zhejiang and European countries, yielding fruitful results in the fields of economy, trade, education, science and technology, and tourism. He expressed hope that this visit will be a new opportunity for the two sides to strengthen communication and exchanges between universities and think tanks, tap into more growth drivers for sub-national cooperation, and advance exchanges and cooperation in various fields to achieve new breakthroughs.
